2024 Primary Election Voting Options
 
The Marshall County Primary Election will be held on May 21st, 2024.

Remember: April 22nd, 2024 was the last day to register to vote.

There are several options for citizens to cast their votes.

Mail-In Ballot


  • To request a mail-in ballot, you must meet the criteria for mail-in absentee voting.
  • You may request a mail-in absentee ballot online at https://www.govote.ky.gov. Absentee ballots may be requested April 6th, 2024 - May 7th, 2024.
  • If you are unable to access the portal, you may contact the Marshall County Clerk's Office at 270-527-4743.
  • You may return your ballot by mail or use a drop box located in the Marshall County Clerk's Office at 1101 Main Street Benton, KY 42025. All ballots must be received no later than 6:00 PM on May 21st, 2024.

In Person Excused Absentee Voting


  • In person excused absentee voting will be conducted at the Marshall County Clerk's Office at 1101 Main Street, Benton, KY 42025 on May 8th, 9th, 10th, 13th, 14th, and 15th, from 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM.
  • To be allowed to vote on these dates, you must meet one of the criteria listed here.

Early In-Person Voting


Any registered voter can vote early on May 16th, 17th, and 18th, from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM at the Joe Creason Community Building, 1600 Park Avenue, Benton, KY 42025.

Election Day Voting


  • Election Day voting for all eligible voters will be from 6:00 AM until 6:00 PM on May 21st, 2024.
  • Rather than requiring citizens to cast their vote in an assigned precinct, Marshall County has established seven voting centers across the county. While ballots are still tallied according to precinct boundaries, registered voters may cast their ballot at any of these locations, making voting even easier than before.
